About This Place

Located along the vibrant waterfront of Sandwich, Massachusetts, Fishermen's View Seafood Market & Restaurant offers an exceptional dining experience that perfectly combines fresh, top-quality seafood with stunning harbor views. As both a seafood restaurant and market, it presents an enticing array of offerings that cater to seafood enthusiasts seeking an authentic Cape Cod flavor.

Step inside or settle into one of the inviting outdoor seating areas where the lively ambiance and gentle sounds of the marina create an idyllic backdrop. Live music often enhances the atmosphere, crafting an experience that feels both upscale and wonderfully relaxed—ideal for a casual night out or a special occasion by the water.

The menu showcases an impressive range of seafood delights, each dish crafted with care and an eye toward bold, fresh flavors. Among the crowd favorites are the buttery, indulgent Hot Buttered Lobster Roll—noted by patrons as rivaling those from Maine itself—and the crisp, vibrant Crispy Dragon Roll. Sushi lovers will find a treasure trove of imaginative options like the Lobster Iceberg Roll, which artfully combines cooked and chilled lobster with refreshing iceberg lettuce and a delicate balance of mango, celery, and Japanese mayo, all elevated by togarashi and eel sauce. For a spicier punch, the Spicy Tuna Crunch Roll or the fiery Samurai Roll packs a deliciously complex flavor profile layered with tempura crunch and jalapeños.

For those who enjoy sharing and sampling, offerings such as the Local Cheese Board—complete with fresh fruit, preserves, and marcona almonds—are perfect to start your meal, while the Jonah Crab Guacamole surprises with its citrus vinaigrette and radish accents that brighten every bite. The F V Clam Chowder delivers a comforting, creamy embrace, a true New England classic executed with finesse.

Other notable dishes praised by guests include succulent sea scallops prepared both broiled and in a risotto, fresh fish tacos bursting with flavors, and hearty lobster and crab buckets that make for a festive, communal dining experience. Side dishes such as the highly recommended red bliss potato salad and juicy grilled corn on the cob have earned their own fan followings, rounding out an exceptional meal.

While most feedback reflects high acclaim—highlighting impeccable freshness, flavorful dishes, and attentive service—some guests have noted that certain items like the scallop risotto and baked stuffed haddock lean toward a subtler seasoning, inviting adventurous diners to savor the unmasked freshness of the seafood itself.

What truly sets Fishermen's View apart is its ability to marry a picturesque Cape Cod setting with an inspired and diverse menu that honors local seafood traditions while embracing creative twists. Whether enjoying a sunset dinner with a chilled lobster roll in hand or picking up day-fresh fish from the market, visitors leave with a memorable impression of quality, taste, and the unmistakable charm of coastal New England dining.

For a seafood experience that delights all the senses and celebrates a coastal lifestyle, Fishermen’s View Seafood Market & Restaurant is a must-visit destination on Cape Cod.

Beautiful views and super fresh, well priced seafood! Husband said the lobster roll rivaled his favorite from our trips to Maine, and the fish tacos I had were flavorful and fresh. The red bliss potato salad is not to be missed, and the side of grilled corn on the cob was juicy. Service was great too, we enjoyed the live music and watching the boats go by in the very active marina. There’s a walking/biking path along the canal right next to the restaurant too. We moved our car after lunch and enjoyed a quick stroll.

Absolutely delicious from start to finish! The cornbread with maple chipotle butter was an instant hit at our table. Everything we ordered was top notch and fresh. Highly recommend the mac and cheese and the carrot cake. This is a hidden gem!

Fisherman’s View in the Barnstable area is a must-visit if you’re craving fresh seafood with a scenic waterfront backdrop. The atmosphere is lively yet relaxed, with indoor and outdoor seating that gives you a great view of the harbor. It’s the kind of place that feels upscale but still very Cape Cod casual. We splurged on the king crab legs and were not disappointed. At $90 for a pound, they’re definitely a treat, but the portion was generous and the meat was sweet, tender, and perfectly cooked, totally worth it if you’re looking to indulge. We also tried the dragon roll, which was excellent. It had a fresh, balanced flavor and was beautifully presented. The calamari was another standout, lightly fried to a crisp and served with a flavorful Thai-style sauce that added a little kick without overpowering the dish. And the 2-pound lobster for $42 felt like an absolute steal. It was sweet, juicy, and came with drawn butter, of course. Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Overall, Fisherman’s View offers great value for the quality and quantity of food you get. Whether you’re going all out with crab and lobster or keeping it simple, you really can’t go wrong here.

Everything was great, except for our mains, the scallop risotto and baked stuffed haddock. They really lacked flavor especially the risotto, the scallops were great. Sushi was good, service was great and location is great

Very fun restaurant. Great indoor and outdoor seating. We went over the weekend and a band was playing music outside that made for a wonderful summer night. I had a lobster BLT which had good flavor (a bit lacking in bacon, and the bread was so moist it immediately began to fall apart) and my wife had the broiled haddock which was also tasty. Four stars for the food but five stars for the ambiance and scenery.

Great great spot. Came here on a Friday night and walked in on a bar spot. The views were great, the vibe was better, and the food was fantastic. Very fresh food, went with the recommendation of getting something with Jonah crab, it was DELICIOUS. The key lime pie was extremely good for dessert. Truly loved it. Can't go wrong with this spot, especially considering how happening the place is. If you like a spot with locals, this is it.

Had lunch here for the first time. Arrived at 1230 and there was an hour wait. Not surprising at all considering it’s in season. Waited outside by the water. We were sat after exactly an hour. Staff was very nice and efficient. Our server was Fady and he was awesome! We ordered the crab cakes which were just PURE crabmeat. Incredible. We also ordered the blackened salmon wrap, and the crispy fish tacos. Both of which were absolutely amazing! From the service, to the view, to the food, was an 11/10. Definitely worth the drive, and the wait. Can’t wait to come back!

Food was great. Kid loved his tenders. The broiled sea scallops and red potato’s were excellent. Calamari app and potato wedges were delicious. Broiled cod was great too says the wife.
